Laser 3000 - Apple IIe Clone

Hi Everyone !

I'm a newbie on this forum :) 

 

I am a French Apple collector, from Apple I to Apple IIgs. I have many piece, like : 

- Apple II Plus / Europlus / IIe / IIe enhanced / platinium / IIc / IIgs Vulvan / IIgs Woz  and many Apple clones (like Bell and Howell).

 

I have just acquired this beautiful object, an Apple IIe clone, the laser 3000. (Too happy !!!!)On the other hand, the key K is missing ... 

If by chance someone has that in his stock ... It would be great (for a fee)

Apple IIc turned yellow

Hi everyone. I have 2 Apple IIc's. The one I use more or less often and is in my house has maintained its color pretty well. The seond one I have, which was stored in the Attic, inside bubble wrap packaging has turned yellow! How can this happen since it doesn't have any contact with the Sun's rays?

Format 2nd card for RM MicroDrive

I want to make a 2nd formatted CF card using the RM Mirco

Looks like this should be super easy - boot the machine, run the RM utils - microdrv.setup - have the card to use inserted as drive 1.

But it just shows me I have an error drive 1 or such.

I'm using a brand new CF card, 32GB (the goal was to make a bunch of 2GB HFS partitions).

Do I need to do something different? Format the card first?

Orange Peel (Apple II Clone)

I picked up an Apple II clone last week, and I'm in the process of re-storing it. 

Has anyone heard of the Orange Peel by the Canadian company Orange Computers inc.

All I could find was an ETI article about it (attached).

I decided to re-cap it before turning it on, it's only a $25 order from Digikey (including the original Zenith monitor).

I didn't think to take pictures before dissembling it. But here's the main boards:

Faulty Ram?

hi guys,

 

im messing around with a broken iic (us version) which i got here in germany...

It wont post / shows marbled graphics.  It tries to read from my floppy emu but ends with errors...

 

i managed to check system with rom4x

(most of the time the machine gets stuck while testing maybe in 1/100 i got different Ram Errors...)

Apple ][ Plus ????? on screen @ startup

   ][ Plus motherboard beeps with power light on (no DII controller installed) but display is full of

???. Where is the first place to start troubleshooting?

Interest in affordable ProFile Controller or SilenType Card for ][ Series?

I finally found an affordable ProFile card. I plan to make schematics for it ere using it, and I will probably publish them for free, but that aside, is there any interest in making a run of ProFile cards? These bastards fetch £200 to £400 on eBay, and there is no reason that they need to be that costly if your only goal is to be able to use a ProFile. 

 

Of course, I will need to see if there are any PROMs or logic chips that I cannot dump and replicate, but it is not a complicated design AFAIR, and if I can pop out a run of copies, are any of you interested?
