OS9 Editor and C-compiler

Greetings,

Now that I have built up and have my 6809 Co-processor running,I'd be grateful if anyone can point me where to obtain the EDIT and C-Compiler software for Apple II OS9.The OS9 images from the Asimov archive are missing those parts. I assume it was not in the original distro.

I'd also appreciate suggestions how to transfer software to and from OS9 system.I'm aware of Luca's github page descibing the Os9-Conv_Tool.Perhaps someone has made efforts to do this. Thanks in advance.

IIc RAM Troubleshooting

Hi All,

Apologies in advance for yet another Apple IIc RAM related post! Bit of a story for background and what I've already tried doing.

Background

About a year ago, I bought myself an Apple IIc on TradeMe, a local auction site here in New Zealand. While I've got a rather large decent sized Mac collection, this was my first venture in to the Apple II lineup.

A2 Term power mod

I’ve never had a need of the term power mod on a Apple II SCSI card but now I have a situation where it’d be handy. The diagram for the Rev C SCSI card says to connect the diode to the front end of C16. I’m thinking that they meant C18 as C16 is on the far end of the card.

Apple IIc That Ram Test Runs Over and Over

I have a IIc that now has a ROM4x installed. It previously has a 255 ROM.

With the keyboard unpluged, and then powered on, the Ram test starts.

But is never finishes. The System OK message does not appear.

Before this, there wer 3 bad ram chips I replaces with sockets and previously testing good ram chips.

When I plug in a good keyboard and then run the Ram test, I get the System OK message.

Do I need to worry about this?

Thanks

AIIc Floppy Drive Door/Latch/Lever wanted

I have another AIIc with no gray/tan FD door/latch/lever, and no spring

Does anyone have an extra they would be willing to part with for a reasonable price?

Or is there a store site that might have them?

None currently showing on evilbay.

If this is the wrong forum for this type of request please let me know.

Thanks

Looking for help with a some Laser 128 machines

I currently have 3 Laser 128 computers that are all exhibiting the same behaviour.  When I turn them on, I get a single beep and a screen displaying:

Any one out there familiar with these and where I might go from here to resurrect these machines?

Found a great book for Apple II copyprotections explained !

Hi Fans -

you might wonder why I'm interested in the topic of Apple I copyprotections at all - we nowadays use floppy emus using WOZ images, and don't need to "copy" copyprotected floppy disks anymore. But some people still might be interested in this topic. I am, and for very good reasons.

Apple VGA card - Ralle Palaveev v1.4 - Unrecognized

Hello,

I juste finished building my A2 VGA card from Ralle Palaveev github version 1.4.

The board seems to work (I get a VGA output) but always in cyrillic and the utility disk doesn't recognize it !

Did someone had the same issues ?

Thank you in advance for your help !

GEOS was developed by Berkeley Softworks, and its founder Brian Dougherty is giving a rare interview on Zoom.  The free conference takes place on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 7:30PM ET  (Toronto, Canada).

Apple IIc FD Faceplate Removal for RetroBrite Process

Hi,

I got my first AIIc.  It is pretty easy to take apart and clean up.

But the FD faceplate does not want to release. This is after I have removed the FD from the case and took it's top cover off.

It has 4 flathead screws on the sides. 2 go into metal and they come out normally.

But the other 2 go into the black plastic disk guides. They just spin when I attempt to unscrew them.

What is the trick to removing these screws?

The FD white plastic is really yellow and should be retro-brited.
