IIc+ GLU chip

This is a long shot...

I'm looking for the General Logic Unit (GLU) chip for the Apple IIc Plus.

It is labelled as part number 342-0243-A and is a PAL20X4 gate array chip, and is indicated on the IIc+ motherboard as UE9.

As shown here:  http://www.applelogic.org/files/3420243A.png

If anyone can help either supplying a replacement or has the code to program the PAL20X4 with a programmer (assuming you can still get one of those blanks) I'd certainly be grateful.

Apple color RGB monitor (A2M6014) problem after re-cap

Greetings all from New Zealand. I think this post will probably have a few of you shaking your heads but I still thought it was worth asking for advice...

I imported a matching monitor for my IIgs via EBay from the US, obviously using it with a step-down transformer as we're on 220V over here. It was sold "parts only". I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived to find it actually worked, it just needed the focus adjusted. I duly took the monitor apart and adjusted the focus  giving me a pretty much perfect picture.

New Xdrive firmware

Xdrive firmware has been updated to V1.03 which addresses a couple of issues:

1. Images created on Windows machines would sometimes show incorrect long filename.

2. Using the N command to boot disk in lower slot did not work with CFFA.

Apple II Peripheral - Know-Drive (ABVDOS, Know-Play,etc)

Happy Sunday!

Looking for help finding documentation for the Know Drive from Abacus Enterprises in Detroit MI.    I've come across a Know-Drive and the attachment seen in the images.   I can not find any documentation or software for this - but would so much love to play with it!

I've found references to it, articles about it but not documentation - there has to be someone out there who has the software and/or documentation for this - any help would be greatly appreciated.

Apple IIc text is red and hard to read

I have an Apple IIc connected to an AppleColor Composite Monitor (A2M6020). Does anyone have any thoughts on why the text describing each color is red and hard to read?

Audio/game sound effects -how were they made?

Ever since I got my first computer (yup, you know the one wink ) I've been fascinated and intrigued by all those cool game sound effects, despite not having a dedicated sound chip, but according to an article I recently came across ("Making the Apple II sing") it's essentially just a 1-bit square wave sound generator!

Green Monochrome A2M2010P monitor spot powerdown

My A2M2010P is showing a bright green spot on powerdown for a couple of seconds, so it seems that the brightness circuit is still powered after power off instead of quickly closing and blocking the electrons streaming from the still hot gun.

I am thinking to recap it (I checked things and they seem intact, but I need to test the ESR of the caps). Any thoughts if that may fix the issue, or is there a known issue with the spot-killer circuit in this model? I don't want to burn the phosphor in the center of the screen every time it powers down.

I'm running ADTPro 2.1.0 from a 5.25" diskette on a IIGS. The disk has been sector verified, the drives have been thoroughly tested.
