Apple II

Hey, I have owned a VidHD and used it in my Apple IIe and IIgs for a couple of years now, with a Samsung HDMI TV.

In preparation for expanding to a new retro space, I bought several Dell 2007fpb monitors as they support VGA, DVI and SVHS

I understand that HDMI and DVI are signal compatible, and that a simple HDMI to DVI adapter, or cable should get the HDMI from my VidHD to my DVI of my Dell screen.

Problem is, it does not work.

I bought a usb to mini din 8 pins cable to use Adtpro with an Apple II GS and transfer files to local disks (5.25 or 3.5). https://a.aliexpress.com/_EIzLyC4 

Note that I managed to test my Adtpro with someone's Apple II e (with db25 cable) from my Win PC 

The apple 2 Gs doesn't have any serial card so I plugged the cable in the modem port

running the process with IN#2 and ctrl A + 14B before transferring the data, nothing happens on the 2Gs

I tried the printer port but it's the same result

Am I missing something ?

I am starting this thread so I can ask for some feedback on my designs for an adapter for the IOU and MMU. As I mentionned in this thread:  https://www.applefritter.com/comment/110444#comment-110444, ReActiveMicro originally offered to design the hardware for the replacement adapters. However, Henry told me recently that he wouldn't be able to work on this any time soon given his lack of free time. So, I decided to revisit an attempt I did some time ago.

Does anyone have an ALS Smarterm II (80 column card)? I'd like to ask a favor, I need a copy of the EPROM contents. I have a card that seems to have a corrupt 2716. It never reads the same contents... The card is a clone of the ALS card, best I can tell. I cannot find this EPROM, just the manuals for the ALS. Card looks like this:
