Restoring Apple II systems for a friends widow

Hi All,

I'm really hoping that someone on here can help me.

One of my best friends passed away just over a year ago from a brain tumour. We'd worked together at Sun for many years, and I regularly stayed with him and his family when I was working out of the Camberley UK offices.

When I was helping his widow go through his tech stuff, I found the computers which started it all for him... his Apple II's.
I've not yet looked at them too closely, but I know that the X2 caps in the PSU will need to be changed before we can try to power them on.

Restoring an old Apple IIe unenhanced

Hi to everybody,

I'm writing to You 'cause I hope someone can help me:
I found an old apple IIe in the garbage (!!!) so I picked it up and I want to try restore it. There are some problems with ram chips and IOU but I'm working on it.

During the desoldering operations I realized that a component is broken. Unfortunately I am not so expert to recognize it. Can someone help me by giving me the specifications so that I can find a substitute and change it?

UniDisk Ejection Motor

Hello all... I just received an Apple IIC with an external UniDisk 3.5" drive. The mechanics of the drive work great after I cleaned up all the old lithium grease, and re-lubed it. I also replaced the plastic gear in the ejection unit with a new one I got from Ebay. The problem I'm having with the drive is with the ejection motor. It continuously spins and won't shut off. Any ideas? There may be other problems with the drive, but this is as far as I've gotten so far. Ideas? I don't know much about Apple products, but I'm learning.

I want to strangle this //e

It has been almost six years since my registration on this forum, but I don't think anyone would care. What comes to the table is my nice flea market find; a revision B //e, with what appears to be some printer card, an unknown peripheral card and a Disk ][ interface. So let's cut to the chase.... doesn't work.

About my Apple IIgs got from eBay

Hello Everyone. This is my first time here.
Yesterday, I got my Apple IIgs from eBay. Since I don't have a RGB monitor, I connected the composite port at the back of my IIgs to the rca jack on my LCD monitor. Then powered up my llgs.

The llgs powered up, and i heard 2 BEEPS.., but the LCD monitor displayed the message "No signal"

Repairing Apple II power supply

I am attempting to repair an original A2M001 style power supply (not made by Astec) for my Apple II. I need the Bill of Materials and component layout drawing to determine some the values of several burnt resistors. Does this documentation exist?
I have the schematic (from the 1979 Apple II reference manual) but it does not show component values. The power supply board does not have component references silkscreened on it.
