Apple //c only power LED, no video or drive activity

I've come across this forum when I found a similar question but wasn't able to solve my problem

https://www.applefritter.com/content/dead-apple-c

I have a //c I haven't used in a few years, but last I did it was fine. I plugged it in a few weeks ago and for the first few minutes it was fine, booting a few disks, but  then the picture started to go wavy and I had to power cycle and it was fine. After a few more it stopped putting out video and trying to boot off of the disk drive, with only the green power LED light up.

AppleTalk error on startup

I pulled my old IIGS out of storage and booted into the installation of System 6.0.1 that was running when I put her in storage 27 years ago. I think one of the last things I did was try to get the IIGS onto an AppleTalk network with a 68K Mac but I can't recall exactly how or why. But one thing that seems to linger is this startup message:

"The selected AppleTalk connection could not be found. Be sure it is installed and the slot settings in the Control Panel are correct."

Floppy Drive Emulator vs. CF Card Reader

Hey, so I was just wondering if there were any advantages to using a floppy drive emulator like the FloppyEmu over a CF card reader like ReActiveMicro's Drive/Turbo IDE Controller.

I am currently making a video guide on getting into the Apple II, so any pointers to differences that would be important to new comers would be greatly appreciated!

Apple //c monitor suggestion

Hi all,

Getting my first //c to add to my collection of //e and IIGS systems. What are the options for a monitor? It looks like there's both a DB15 and Composite output on the back, does that 15 pin work or is it just the composite? I have an AppleColor monitor I use with my IIGS, would be great to use that with the //c. If not, what other options exist, preferably not something that's 35 years old :-)

Thanks for any help.

Apple II lid styles and mesh strips

My II+ needs a lid, and there are currently three for sale on ebay, all slightly different styles. I suppose it probably doesn't matter greatly, but is there a way to match the "correct" lid for my specific apple?

Very early Apple II PSU blows fuses

I'm working on a very early Apple II power supply, serial number in the 3000's.  I want to restore it to proper working order, with a minimum of fuss to keep it reasonably original and historically accurate.  Although I did have to drill out the 2 rivets that Apple decided to use to keep us safe from ourselves.  I suppose I could replace them after I'm done.
