RamPak 4gs Utilities

I have a RamPal 4gs card and the utilities disk. Yup, paid for it I don't know how many years ago. I just trie dto run it on my GS, but none of the software seems to come from Irange Micro and files mentioned in the manual are not on the disk. Strange.

Does anyone know of a source for the utilities that came with the card?

Thanks.

Connecting Apple III to FloppyEmu

I was having a bit of fun with my Apple III connecting it to a FloppyEmu (and to a normal Disk II drive). My Apple III only had the single internal drive so far. It really needed an extension...

Since I wanted a convenient and safe solution for the connection, I made a simple adapter. It's basically the Apple III equivalent of the D-SUB to 20pin IDC adapter for Apple II, which BMOW sells with every FloppyEmu. Sure, Apple III with FloppyEmu is certainly a niche application, but hey, so is any retrocomputing anyway. Maybe someone else is interested after all. :)

MacEffects Apple IIe Keyboard LED issue

Hi everybody,

is it normal that the MacEffects Apple IIe keyboard has so little brightness (I don't even see it turned on).

Can anyone confirm this who also has this keyboard, or do I have a defective keyboard. (maybe they soldered the wrong resistor on the board)?

regards

Apple ][ Joystick Dimensions A2M2002 or A2M2012

Could anyone with an actual Apple ][ Joystick and a caliper post some actual dimensions?

Would love an acutal Apple ][ Joystick (A2M2002), but like other nostalgic devices from my youth, their value has now risen above my budget.  Therefore, I am switching to assembling icons of those memorable devices rather than the devices themselves.

Apple II Plus with unknown board rev. 820-0044-00?

Hi, I'm new here but have been a lurker for years. I recently received a nice Apple II Plus that had a few cards (including a Videx Videoterm and MS language card), and I just noticed this logic board's part number is not documented online: 820-0044-00

The only 820-0044-XX revisions I can find info on are: 820-0044-01, 820-0044-C, and 820-0044-D, with the main source being the defacto  The Apple II Circuit Description:

Testing 80 column card?

I've got a 80 column card (820-0066) off eBay for my Apple II that had a faulty 74LS245 chip which I replaced. Is there any software I can use to run a full test on it to see if there are other issues (RAM?)

If I run PR#3 it goes into 80 column mode so looks like it's working, but wondering if there is a more indepth test I can run?

Apple Disk II drive and compatibles

Hi,

Is there a way to connect the Apple Disk II (and compatible) floppy drives without having to open the lid of Apple II every time, like Unidisk or Duodisk?

Thanks

Need help setting disk ii speed

Hello group,I have a disk ii drive that I can’t set the speed on. I use the Apple dealer disk alignment aid software as I always do. If anyone’s not familiar with this program 0 is in the center representing 300rpm. Either side of the zero will represent positive or negative. It shows a -1500 (which I know is not near accurate). Turning the variable resistor it will jump to +1500. Then bounce back and forth between the two positive and negative extremes without touching the resistor.
