Seasonic II+ clone PSU negative voltages problem.

Hi. Yes, this is my first post. I mostly joined because searches for various things I want to know tend to bring me back to here.

I've started a project to bring as many of my old machines back and make them healthy as possible. Oddly, most of my ailing ones are Apple.

GSOS Shrinkit NDA? other questions

GShrink works, but is there an NDA that lets you unshrink directly from the Finder? or a Finder replacement NDA that handles shrink or other compressed files?

Also, wondering how the IIGS numbers drives. I wanted to use a 32Mb Prodos image as the Fonts directory, using Sheppy's FontRedir Utility, but it keeps searching for a 3.5" floppy and endlessly asking me to insert DEV2 after I changed the *:SYSTEM:Fonts setting to DEV2:FONTSDISKII.

French Apple Clone "VELA" - Dump Roms

I have a French Clone Apple II (VELA) and I want to duplicate the ROMs.

There are 3 ROMS: ROM 1 and 2 are 2332 and ROM3 is a 2716. With the t56 xgecu programmer, I was able to read the ROM3 (2716) but could not read 2332 ROMs even converting them to 2732. So I'm looking for another method under the Apple monitor to copy them. I found this:

CALL-151

4100<C100.FFFFM

BSAVE NAMETOSAVE,A$4100,L$3F00 ==> where is this saved?

But that doesn't work ... does anyone have an idea? Thank you.

MicroDrive Problem

Hi All,

This one driving me a bit crazy. I have the GS version of the MicroDrive Turbo. I have 4 volumes on there, 3 that came with the card, one I created. The first is PRODOS and utilities, the 2nd is a GS/OS volume, 3rd is Total Replay, and the 4th I've created both a GS/OS 6.01 and 6.04 volume.

GS/OS

Silly question, why does my GS/OS show two 5.25" drives on the desktop? I don't have any physical drives connected other than the 3.5" one, does it have something to do with the daisy chain on the back of the 3.5" drive?

3.5" Drive question

I just obtained a nice IIGS system which included the A9M0106 drive. The system also included around a dozen 3.5" disks that the seller created...but these are all on DS/HD disks. Can I even use these disks? I thought the A9M0106 was an 800k drive that would only work with DD disks.

Thanks for any help.

repair or replace ALPS key switch

The right arrow key on my //e finally became unusable.  It appears this is a long stem ALPS switch.  Taking it apart and digging online I find the way it works is when the plunger goes down, the pressure is redirected horizontally by a "leaf spring" which presses against a switch plate.  There is a tiny dimple in the center of the leaf spring which I suppose enhances the pressure.  Experimenting with an ohm-meter shows that the switch plate works fine if I remove the leaf spring and apply the pressure directly with a small screwdriver.  So I wondered if it might be worth trying to reshape t

"Vaporlock" technique from Don Lancaster's Enhancing Your Apple II and IIe

I was reading about Don Lancaster's "Vaporlock" technique for finding the exact timing of the vertical blank during screen refreshes.   Does anyone happen to have the sourcecode available or know where I can find the companion disk that came with Enhancing Your Apple II and IIe I am hoping to avoid typing everything in manually

The Ultimate Apple II Accelerator - The MCL65-Fast

I just uploaded a short demo which replaces the 6502 emulation of the MCL65+ with the ability to run compiled C code. I adapted a printf, scanf, and a few functions to allow access to the video memory and the keyboard which makes it easy to run regular C code on a vintage computer via the 6502's bus interface.
