Apple ][ Europlus - Update - IT LIVES

10,000 thank you's to those on here (especially Amauget) who responded to my constant questions as I tried to get this machine to work. The final exercise was to extract all of the memory chips, replace row C with new chips from an Atari 16k card from ebay (sorry to the Atari), flicked the switch and it beeped for the first time in many years. No more hot ram and screen full of lines of characters, it was back to life (other than some lazy keys which seem to be resurrecting).

Just need to figure out which memory chips were bad and smash them with something heavy and blunt.

Virtually pristine Apple IIC with original boxes.....any interest?

Found this at an estate sale. Looks to be barely used. It has the main unit in the original Styrofoam, in the original box. All of the user manuals and Apple floppy disks are there. It comes with an additional external floppy drive, also in the original box. The monitor does not in include the original box. It is an incredible find in this condition. I thought I would let the enthusiasts know about it before I throw it up on eBay.

Connecting to TV

Yesterday I connected up my IIe to a TV the normal way (yellow Composite cable) its a PAL IIe connecting to a fairly new 20" Flat screen. The Apple has also been connected to 2 other new Flat screens (including a 42" which was quite awesome looking) with no problems on either TV. However on this TV, the image switches from black to the apple screen then back to black again in seconds. I am pretty sure its a problem on the TV side but does anybody have any thoughts on what could be the problem?

Apple II clone power supply repair

I have replaced some of the capacitors on a power supply that I have that has come out of an Apple II clone (MICRO II) but I want to test it before I reconnect it to the board. The problem is that the +12v was actually putting out (if I remember correctly) over 15 volts. All of the other power leads are in range. I understand that the power supply will not stay powered up unless it is connected to the board or is fooled. What I need is for someone to explain to me what resistors do I need and how to wire those resistors up to fool the power supply so that I can take readings. Thanks
