Apple II

need help with the name of a game

This has been bugging me for several years now, and I've had a heck of a time even finding a populated place to ask about this. When I was in grade school, we had a whole host of edutainment titles for our apple IIes like Odell lake, Oregon Trail, Number Munchers, Stickybear, etc. This one game though I can't remember the name for the life of me. Basically the object of the game was to try and capture a creature of some kind on an overhead map. To do this you need to set an appropriate kind of trap (pit trap, net trap, something like that) depending on the habitat where it lives.

Trying To Find A Game Called Freedom

My friend challenged me to find out about a game for him that he played in the early 90's (not necessarily the release date). The original information he gave me:
Blue Mac Floppy Disk
1st person action
Objective: A slave trying to go from the north to the south. He never succeeded, but it was "so cool" because you had to pay attention to moss on trees to know which direction to go. He thought it was created by the same people who did Number Munchers (MECC), but it's not (at least, they're not credited on wikipedia).

Extractor of the files in the .DSK file

I don't know if someone will become interested in that, but at about a week ago I needed to extract the text files located in a .DSK image made from a Pravetz8M diskete (Pravetz8M is an 8 bit PC using dos 3.3 made in Bulgaria in the early 80-s). This is why I made a software that extracts the text files T. files from the image as a .TXT files that can be red on text editors for Windows and Linux. In case some one want he or she can download it for free. Here is the address: http://www.DSKextr.hit.bg/Index.html

Feedback on Apple IIe System in Great Condition

Some feedback please. I have an Apple IIe system in excellent condition, complete with monitor, dual disk drive, original software and manuals. It boots right up and runs ProDos and Appleworks fine. See additional info at http://apple-iie.blogspot.com/.

Is this package worth trying to sell or should I just dump it? If selling is an option, any ideas on worth? Any comments will be appreciated as I am trying to decide what to do with it.

programming a //c

Yo,

Just got a //c, external floppy drive, 12" Apple color
composite monitor and am ImageWriter II printer for
free on NYC craigslist. Love that list. The 'puter
came with a box of over 100 program floppies and
backups. The //c tutorial is a hoot. It also came with
a "Getting Down to BASIC" floppy. Does anyone here
program or have programmed the //c using BASIC and is
this tutorial all I'll need to learn BASIC for the
//c?

CFFA and IIgs MicroDrive IDE Controller

Other than the prices, what are some of the differences between the CFFA and IIgs MicroDrive IDE Controller? They both seem to have similar features, as far as I can tell. Which one may be better suited for my ROM1 IIGS?
