Apple IIgs 3.5" external floppy drive no worky...

So I have an old Apple IIgs and I was really hoping to take advantage of the Ensoniq DOC (Found in the Mirage and ESQ-1 synths) in some way shape or form, but I can't if the drive doesn't work. Anyway, I replaced the drive because I thought that the original was faulty. Now I realize that it probably isn't the drive. The drive will eject if I press the button, but it makes no effort to read the disk or anything. I checked the settings and all the slots are set to the factory originals. Any ideas?

I'm giving away a bunch of old Beagle Brothers software & doc.s bundles. Look in the For Sale forum for details, but don't take too long. . . it's a timed offer.

Fired up my Old Apple //e

That's pretty much it. Apple //e bought when I was 5 used until the Duo Dick started failing around 1992. Then we crossed over to a POS Tandy machine and the //e was stored in the basement.
Anyway... I'm looking to find a hard drive for it. I checked out ebay but I'm not sure what to get. I'm guessing I need a SCSI card, but which one?
I'm an IT tech for 11 years but this is a bit beyond my reach!

Apple II era magazines

I really miss the excellent Apple II hobbyist magazines. The technical information and tips on hardware and operating system information always made me feel more comfortable with my Apple computer than I ever have with my new PC. They also provided a wealth of information for any budding applesoft and machine language programer. What where your favorite magazines for the Apple?

... but the best is yet to come.

Greetings Apple II fellow forum members

This post is a follow-up to my other post about Apple II games' ending screenshots.
Instead of having a screen ending here's a video intro with audio of a classic Apple II shoot 'em up game :
A.E. by Jun Wada and Makoto Horai. Broderbund, 1983.
You will need flash plug-in for your browser to watch these.
