Apple II

can someone help with this game?

I remember playing a game on the apple II back in the early 90's. The game had a lot of riddles like "who invented paper?" and there was something about Thomas Edison. Also it seems like there was a dinosaur or dinosaur bones in a room. I don't have a lot of detail, but if someone knows the name of the game that would be great.

Brown Apple II?

I noticed in the Apple II Forever video that there was a photo of a brown Apple II computer. Was that painted or did it come like that?

Apple II and IIplus super encoder board finished

Well, after dealing with several of my Apple IIplus computers with shot encoder boards I set out to design a replacement one. Using a microcontroller I was able to design a new encoder board that is smaller and works great. Well, while I was at it, I added a ps/2 keyboard port so you can attach a PC keyboard to your Apple II or IIplus and have an external keyboard. The bonus is that you don't have to turn off the onboard keyboard, you can use both keyboards at the same time. This is great for two player games. I needed 5 of these so I did an order of 20 and now have 15 available.

Anyone remember this game?

Hi, I recently had a coversation with my family about the old Apple II we had and there was one game we all played but could never finish (no cheating before the internet, haha)

I actually can remember quite a lot about the game. It was a text and graphics based adventure, maybe in a manor (haunted, mystery, not sure) and one of the first puzzles was solved by typing 'say answer' or 'speak answer'

Any ideas?

I have been going through my collection of original older apple II programs and test running them on my IIgs. All the utilities and various applications run fine and the IIgs is set to run in it's slower speed. Games, however, are a different story. Most work fine on the GS, but a few refuse to work at all. These work fine on my Apple IIc or on the Mac Color Classic with the IIe card. I am guessing these programs may not work on the GS possibly because of the copy protection used.

Apple IIc that kind of works

I got an apple IIc for free, and it has some problems I'd like to fix, if possible.

One: it's missing a few keys (where can I get Apple II(c) keys?)

Two: the 'U' key responds to presses once in a blue moon. (I've taken the keyboard out to look at it, but I don't see any easy way to get at the individual keys' circuits)

Old Apple II games.

Hi! I'm trying to remember the name of an old apple II game I used to play. It's basically like "cross country usa" except without the commodities abd geography. You have to get your car from on town on a map to another, and along the way you have to choose when to eat/sleep/fuel at towns en route and which way you want to drive based on a crude map. The big thing I remember is every once and a while your car would "throw a rod" and the game would end. It's driving me nuts though. It's as though the game doesn't even exist!
