Apple II

All good things come to an end...

Greetings!

As some of us may know, some games on Apple II were extremely difficult to play back then, even for hardcore gamers. However thanks to the save state feature of some Apple II emulators, it is now possible to finish those games and reveal their never-seen-before endings. So here are two memorable examples of hard-to-beat games, Zorro and The Goonies by Datasoft (1985).

Enjoy! Smile

Any ProDOS experts?

I am having a problem booting into ProDOS with my latest hardware emulator. When I boot from a ROM drive without the floppy ROM, ProDOS boots correctly. But when the ROM for the floppy is visable, ProDOS seems to go into neverland. Depending on the contents of memory, it can do almost anything. I traced the boot process and it appears that when the ROM is visable, some code is missed and when a RTS is executed, there is some extra data still on the stack and this becomes the program counter. And this is why the RAM contents affect what happens.

IIGS RGB Monitor shrunk view area. HELP.

Hi everyone.

Can anyone point me to documentation or steps to correct the shrunken image on my IIGS RGB screen? The image on the screen has maybe an inch of black or empty border to the left and right of the image. I want to fix this so the monitors image stretches as close as possible from side to side and top to bottom to maximize the view image on the view area of the screen. If anyhone can help, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks
John

IIGS monitors?

Hi Everyone.

I wanted to ask what is the largest monitor that was made for the IIGS system? I had a monitor that I got on eBay but it didn't work right so I put it in storage. The monitor looked like the tyical small monitor that you see with most IIGS systems. What I wanted to ask is if there were bigger monitors made that worked with the IIGS' RGB monitor cable?

I'm looking to purchase another monitor for my IIGS because usiing a TV just doesn't cut it. Please elt me know so I will know what type of monitor to look for on the net.

Thanks
John

Best Apple II site for software and such

I remember many years ago (2001-2002) I stumbled upon a site that had lots of Apple software available for download. I believe it was called Asimov and was an ftp site. I don't recall if it was all public domain, or a mix of comercial and PD software.
