Looking for S.A.M

Hi guys,

I have been trying to find a working copy of S.A.M (Software Automatic Mouth)

After hours of searching the web I have only found 3 downloadable files that don't seem to work on my IIc.

Does anyone here know where I can find a working image file of the bootable disk?

Apple pascal poster, remade

It's been a while since I've been around the fritter :). I figure this is the most likely forum here for this. Over the long weekend I dove into this recreation of the 1979 apple pascal poster. I aimed to keep the slightly hand-drawn feel to it.

The PDF is at the size I found mentioned on an auction of the original, and will print nicely at any local print shop, likely. It's an illustrator-editable pdf, as well as an svg, all text outlined. Do with it what you need, and enjoy!

Apple II+ motherboard power connector

Does anyone know what pin-to-pin resistance readings should be at the Apple II+ motherboard power connector? I'm trying to resurrect an old computer that hasn't been powered on in several years. It does not boot properly now. Thanks!

trying to debug an Apple II europlus

Hi, I'm trying to debug my II Europlus with only 48k ram. I have a Booti and tried to run some disk images with the apple resseler test disk on them, but all images I found required 64k of ram. I'm pretty sure than one or more memory chip are bad, as I got the information that the chip 7fff-000 (01) is bad when running this simple test from the monitor:

my problem it that I have absolutelly no idea how to locate the bad chip with this information.

80 Column/RAM board issues - Help Please

I have an Apple IIe P.A.L, board number 870-0073A dated 1982. Its also marked B607-0664.

I am having some problems with 80 character mode in that if I type in PR#3 it goes into 80 column mode, but after about 10 minutes the machine becomes unstable and I get on screen graphics corruption, or missing columns (Every other one) and from time to time the card just become unavailable.

It seems to be thermal as powering off for a short while allows everything to work as normal again, even if only for 10 minutes.

Apple IIe + Z80 Softcard : IN & OUT Z80 statement

Hello,

My question is almost in the subject.

I want to run some assembly code on a Z80 located in a Microsoft Softcard.

This code include IN and OUT statement followed by a 8 bits address. I believe these instructions use the lower byte of the address bus and the ioreq pin of the Z80 to say to the hardware that this operation do not involve the memory but some special io devices.

On the Microsoft Softcard a quick look at the schematic show the ioreq pin is not wired... So I think IN and OUT instructions has no chance to work. Can you confirm ?

New Win98SE system: command-line disk-handling?

Hi!  I recently received a Windows 98SE minitower and am hooking it up right now.  I want to do some work and game-playing on it and my work includes programming using cc65.  I should soon install CiderPress on it but might need to add files to Apple2 disk images from a batch file.  Where can I find such a utility?

Alignment diskette (P/N 090-0004)

I'm following along with the Apple Service Level 1 Technical Procedures manual that describes how to test a Disk II analog board. However, when I get to step C, Azimuth Test — see images below — I'm stuck because it  requires the Alignment Diskette (Apple part number 090-0004).
