IIgs WOZ Images

Looks like someone is starting to image and share IIgs software in WOZ format. I reached out to the Floppy Emu author, as of now the 3.5" emulated drive can't use them. He said in theory it's possible. But he's currently focusing on another project. Hopefully now that the images are rolling out he will eventually support them. But for now, no go.

I'm not sure if wDrive has support for WOZ on 3.5. But given this is the first I'm seeing the images, I'd be surprised if it does.

Apple II Europlus numeric keypad

Hello everyone.Today I found the numeric keypad for Apple II, II+, Europlus that you see in the picture.

I don't have any manuals so I ask you if any of you can explain to me, better if with photographs, how to connect it to my Apple II Europlus.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Help me identify this Expansion Board

Hi all,

I've recently received some retro expansion cards, most of them are for PCs (ISA), but I also have this, what I believe is, Apple II Expansion Card.

Here is a photo I took:

Has anyone been able to get part_vulcan to work?

On the Drew ][ blog, there's a post about a utility for Linux called part_vulcan that can create a partition map for a Vulcan hard drive controller. I've tried to mirror what was done to run the utility in the blog post as closely as possible. I used what I'm reasonably sure is the the same Linux Live CD, compiled the program and ran it on several CF cards.

Looking for good dump of the Apple II Rev. C SCSI Card PALs

I have here an Apple IIGS that I've been trying to fix up for a friend. The SCSI card is busted, it basically acts like it isn't even plugged in. I was able to borrow another (Rev. C) SCSI card, and that works with the existing hard drive setup.By exchanging parts between the good card and the bad card, I've been able to verify that the problem with the bad card is that it's PALs are defective. All other chips and the ROM are OK. The card works with PALs from a known-good card. The problem is, the working PALs are read-protected!

Double sided disks, but... how? And how to make ADTPro bootable?

This might be a dumb question.  I bought some new in box 5.25" Verbatim DS/DD disks for my Apple IIe, and they work great, but I am trying to figure out how to utilize the back side of the disk.  Someone at my work told me that I had to notch out a hole like the small square hole on the side on the opposite side, so I have tried that out and it doesn't seem to change it.

If it makes a difference, I took both of the drives apart and cleaned them up on the inside and the heads and stuff, and they both work great.  They are both the "Unidisk" variety.

Apple II GS ADB port issues.

Hi all,Recently, my IIGS started having issues with its ADB port.

It started after swapping my battery holder and battery, which could just be coincidence, as I'm having trouble remembering if the keyboard worked initially after that, and I left it alone for about a week afterwards.

I double checked the battery and realized that a solder pad was missing from the positive terminal on the motherboard, it must have fell out when removing the original battery holder and I just didn't notice somehow.

Disk utility to move drive head

I'm attempting to record the sounds of a Drive 2 in operation, and I'm wondering if there's pre-existing software to move the drive heads on command. Ideally I just want to move the head from the first track to the last.
