using adtpro->IIgs, why would a 1999 G3 PowerBook but not a 2008 MacBook Pro transfer successfully?

i've successfully transferred disk images using my old PowerBook but when i use the same USB->DB9 adapter on my new MacBook Pro i can't get images to transfer to my IIgs. the weirdest bit is that when i enter "Receive" mode on the IIgs and type the name of the disk image i want to use, the disk image name pops up on the MacBook Pro's adtpro server window and the IIgs moves on to the disk selection screen--but when i select the disk and it starts the copy screen the progress stops at Block 00001 of 0000280. any thoughts?

thanks guys!

Ideas for new Apple II games

I want to start developing for the Apple II, and I need some ideas for new games. I'm aiming at a fairly advanced action game (perhaps something like "Wavy Navy" ). Or maybe a Pacman-style labyrinth game.

I also started wondering; are there any new Apple II games coming out nowadays? I mean from non-commercial sources, like hobbyists.

Apple //GS just boops

I found a //GS that someone was discarding. I plug it in and all it does is a short, soft "booop," and that's it. Clock battery is dated 1988. It has an Apple memory expansion card. This is my first encounter with an Apple //. I'm guessing it requires an external floppy or disk drive for a system. What should I do with it? Does it have any value?

New Apple IIGS RAM cards now in production

I've produced a batch of 4Meg RAM cards based on my original design I did for Garberstreet a few years. If anybody is interested in a 4Meg ram card for their GS, let me know. These have been tested with ROM01 GS with CFFA cards. Sorry, I don't have SCSI card or ZIPGS to test with, so for now they are only guaranteed to work with standard speed GS systems. The retail price is $59 and I'll try and update my web page soon, or check eBay, I've been putting them up there.

Developing & emulating using CC65 -> AppleCommander -> AppleWin fails

I tried installing CC65 (compiler), Apple Commander (disk image tool), and AppleWin (emulator). I went ahead and built the "tgidemo" and "hello" samples included in the CC65 package, then used Apple Commander to put the *.o-files into a disk image, which I then loaded in AppleWin. But the emulated Apple IIe crashes, with this message:
0803- A=01 X=60 Y=00 P=75 S=F8

I am guessing the problem is within the binary object file I put into the disk image, but I'm not sure what. Any help please?

PC --> Tape --> Apple II disk

Hi! I'm a new Apple II user from Spain. Recently I bought an Apple II Europlus, with 2 disk drives.

But unfortunately I have no idea of how I could copy programs from internet files to 5.25 disks...

My idea was to use a program like ADTpro to transfer games or applications to the computer by tape input, and later copy them into disks... don't know if it would be possible.

Any help?

Applesoft programers

I need a few recommendations......

A good friend was forced into retirement a few months back due to a nasty job related back injury. He is no longer able to pursue a lot of his favorite physical activities. We were talking one evening after he had been released from the hospital and I mentioned that I still messed around with my Apple II computers. He had been a big Apple fan twenty years back, but like many went on to other things. He thought it might be fun to start using an old Apple II again so I sent him a spare Apple IIc I had.
