Apple IIe EF and CD ROM specs?

I've got a dead Apple IIe with suspect EF and and CD ROM's

342-0134

342-0135

I read somewhere that these can be replaced with 27C64 ROM's.  Are they 27C64 ROM's which can be read with the programmer to confirm if they are valid?

I've tried  reading them as M27C64 ROMs but pin 1 on both fails and if I ignore that it returns 0xFF for all addresses.

So first off what chips are these and can they be read with a moderm programmer, and can they be replaced with a 27C64?

Looking for an Apple II FujiNet

Hello,

I attempted to build the FujiNet matching the PCB on fujinet-hardware/AppleII/FujiApple-DevKit-Combo-Rev1 at master · FujiNetWIFI/fujinet-hardware · GitHub

Unfortunately despite testing all components, I have a hardware issue so it doesn't work.

Since I already have the flashed ESP32 module, I'm looking to purchase a functional FujiNet module in which I could just plug in my ESP32. A complete kit is possible as an alternative.

IIe cases

I guess I never looked too closely at my stealth IIgs before. I removed the top case for the first time and found something interesting.

Since it has a later style top case I thought that the keyboard would be attached to the case but it’s attached to the baseplate. I guess the top case must be an intermediate as there’s no way to fasten the keyboard to it.

I’d thought that there were 3 top cases. The early one with the Velcro cover latches, the later one with keyboard fastened to the top case and of course the platinum IIe.

Help with Apple iie Diagnostics.

Hello,

When I run the in-built diagnostics, I get a result of a full screen of @ symbols.

The system does seem to test the RAM first, with the normal white lines making a full white block ( the RAM also has been successfully tested on another Apple  ).

Does anyone know what the diagnostics tests in the system after the RAM? Or where the fault might be?

Thank you for your help

Peter

Apple //c Plus Floppy Drive Problem - Seeking Advice

Hello Everybody,

As I mentioned yesterday, I have returned to the fold after having been gifted with a //c Plus. Aside from some cludgy keys, the computer seems to be functioning well, except for the disk drive.

Packing CRT monitor for shipment

I need to ship a 12" CRT monitor and am wondering if the best method would be to pack it with the CRT face down rather than sitting normally?

Plan to surround the monitor with about 2" of polyethylene foam which is stiffer than bubble wrap but not as stiff as styrofoam and should give good support.

Need Help with my Apple Image Writer II

Hello,

My name is Chris and I'm new to the forum and would like to briefly introduce myself. In my free time, I repair and restore classic computers and have a small collection of my own. I'm slowly reaching my limits with repairs and need your help.
