The time has come for me to come clean.
I am a 17-year-old mac addict. Through it all, though, I have had the support of my many fellow Addicts here on AF. I want to thank you all for your wonderful support. When I relapse, you are all here to set me straight. When I think about using a PC, all I need to do is return to AF and I know I'll be welcomed back with open arms.

A new beginning

I plan on using this blog to document my newest project. I found with the last project, documentation after the fact is more difficult than I thought it would be. I have a hard time remembering why I did some things the way that I did.

Movie Review: Serenity

Scott Kurtz has T-shirts for sale that state: "JOSS WHEDON IS MY MASTER NOW"... and for good reason.

I wasn't on board the "Serenity" until recently. I had see half of one episode back in '02 when they first ran. But when I heard that there was a movie coming out and that the series "Firefly" was going to be run on Sci-Fi again, I decided I would check out the series and see if it was worth my time. I mean, the geek world had been all a-buzz about this series for three years... as a geek, I was obligated to at least check it out.

A few months back, I posted about having to thin out my collection. The process continues, but it seems that for every step forward I take, something else comes along to knock me back. Usually, this is more machines.

How about an Internet-Radio-Receiver - cheap, not $300.

Ingredients:

  • Macintsosh LC, LC II or LC III
  • Ethernet Card for LC
  • System 7.1
  • Open Transport, QuickTime 4, Sound Manager
  • MpegDec

Just put it together, download a .PLS or .M3U file som the Internet for a stream at modemquality sound and setup MpegDec to startup with that file, as described in the documentation.

I have a confession to make: I pick my nose.

That's right, I pick my nose and I roll the little booger ball between my thumb and my finger for quite a few minutes. Now don't get me wrong, you won't see me picking my nose at the bus stop or in the mall. You won't see me picking my nose at the library or while walking down the street. You won't see me picking my nose while in my backyard or while standing in my driveway. You'll only see me me picking my nose in my home.
